RATE MY FAVORITE COACH

He claims to know ball but puts in dozens of plays the day before a game, practices are boring only going over childish stuff and he only plays favorites. They will never get better scrimmaging the JV when more than 5 varsity players are standing around and could be in. Has no discipline over the team at all and he lets them run all over him. He had told the team multiple times they weren’t good enough to win and that the other team was way better and had better players. What an embarrassment

Not just a coach, but a true mentor. She has the ability to inspire her players to rise up and perform at levels they never thought possible. She instills confidence, builds character, and brings out the very best in every athlete she leads.

He knows absolutely nothing about coaching or even the sport in general, his kid plays in every single inning even after continuously dropping every fly ball or making an error on every routine grounder. His wife will make you bow down to her and everything she says or she will personally make your experience terrible, but finally he lets his athletes bully and bring eachother down while he turns a blind eye.

I played for this coach for 4 years and was a student manager for 3 years before that. During that time, I witnessed him yell at players who asked if the defensive scheme could be changed from zone to man because of what the other team was showing us only to have him yell at that player and say “ if you don’t like the way I’m coaching the game, find a new “fu%#ing” coach. There are too many examples to list them all.

I have never in my life met an “old school” coach that is anything but old school. Old school coaches played the best players to win. He is definitely not old school he plays his favorites only. Sad thing is those favorites are the children of the parents that are trying to get rid of him. I’ll be laughing hard when they finally succeed and get rid of him and then their kid no longer gets playing time 🤣🤣🤣

Best coach I’ve ever had. I wish he would have been at our school sooner. We never had coaches that taught us the skills we needed to play or made us work hard in practice. He came in and got us in shape and held us accountable. He demands honesty and all your effort. He will give you everything he has and be supportive but you have to do your best and always be honest. If you don’t give it your all he will ride you harder than anything. He’s old school but he’s also very kind and supportive. He’s a real coach. He makes you feel like a winner.

One of the worst coaches I have ever had, he ruined football for me, and for many other seniors. In 2023, he came to the program, and started off by kicking a 4 star kicker we had off the team, (he had a shoulder injury and really easy to tear shoulder) because he did not want to tackle.

Coach Garrow has single handly resulted in 3 State Championship losses due to his decisons. Unrespectfully, he’s a douche.

Does not know how to coach flag football, very emotional, shuts down too easily, horrible attitude . Everyday it’s something new with their coach. Seems like a nice lady, not a good coach

This is the worst coach I have had in 12 years of playing all sports. She created a divisive team culture while saying the exact opposite. She made girls feel isolated and demeaned until they quit. She would pick favorites and not let people compete for a spot. She told players she was not there to improve their skills. She does not have the volleyball IQ to make strategic coaching adjustments. Terrible experience and I was on the court playing, I can’t imagine being on the bench all of the time. I would take the other option you have at all costs. She is clearly threatened by anyone with an opinion and is a terrible role model as a person.

You can be a D1 athlete but not be qualified to coach. You clearly don’t want to win if you tell players that they can’t fight for a position. You clearly don’t want to win if you can’t provide stats to any players but justify playing time based on those stats. I could go on and on but enough said…

This coach was absolutely horrendous for my four years of high school soccer. When I approached him about my mental health, he told me that I just needed to leave it at home, focus more on soccer and get more sleep. He verbally assaults multiple girls on his team that aren’t his favorites. Not to mention that he also treats his daughters and wife, the exact same way. I pray for anyone who has to endure his “coaching”…
